Family and Children's Services of Central Maryland

Why A Little Bit Helps

For over 160 years, Family and Children’s Services of Central Maryland has been helping families and individuals in need. With your help, we can continue to offer 18 programs in Central Maryland. Last year alone, we supported over 8,000 families and individuals with critical issues like domestic violence, child sexual and physical abuse, adult relationship problems, parent/child issues, teen pregnancy/parenting, and elder care.

Here are some ways of how your donation can help:

  • $20 can provide 1 hour of personal care, laundry, shopping, and meal preparation for the frail elderly in their homes
  • $50 can provide 1 day of shelter for a victim of domestic violence
  • $100 can provide a counseling session for a child who was sexually abused
  • $400 can provide 5 days of participation at a medical adult day care center
  • $700 can provide 8 days of foster care to a medically fragile young child
  • $1000 can provide 10 group sessions for victims of domestic violence learning about the cycle of abuse and how to protect themselves from further domestic violence
  • $1200 can provide 12 days of after school activities including tutoring, dance, art, computer education for at-risk middle school girls
  • $1300 can provide 5 case management sessions for 5 adults with HIV seeking employment, housing, or health care

Please know that a little bit really can add up to a lot. By making a donation to Family and Children’s Services of Central Maryland, you are truly making a difference in the lives of people who live in Maryland.
